Why South Vietnam Lost the War
By Bill Davenport

We had been firing all night at Vandergrif while on an artillery raid in July of 1970, when General Westmoreland arrived. All I remember is that he said that we needed a shave. I don't remember if General Westmoreland said anything else because I was too p**sed. Later that morning we went back to 8/4 at Dong Ha.
